This was an expansion of the existing Al-Wadjh Power Plant, based on two GE Frame-5 gas turbine generator units (around 20 MW site rating each), operating on distillate oil. Major balance of plant equipment included distillate oil tanks, fuel handling & forwarding and treatment systems, plant heating-ventilation-air-conditioning and firefighting systems.
