90MW Gas Turbine based Captive Power Plant at Khafji

This was a 90 MW captive power plant, based on three GE Frame-6 gas turbine generator units (around 30 MW site rating each), operating on natural gas as primary fuel and distillate oil as start-up, shut-down and back-up fuel. Major balance of plant equipment included distillate oil tanks, gas compressors, a gas conditioning system, fuel handling & forwarding systems, plant heating-ventilation-air-conditioning and firefighting systems. The scope of the project also included a dedicated distributed control system for the plant controls.
