Rabigh Power Plant Extension, Stage VII

This project involved the expansion of the existing Rabigh Power Plant, based on twelve GE Frame -7EA gas turbine generator units (around 60 MW site rating each), operating on crude oil as primary fuel and distillate oil as start-up, shut-down and back-up fuel. Major balance of plant equipment included crude oil tanks, fuel handling & forwarding systems, plant heating-ventilation-air-conditioning, firefighting systems, a distributed control system and other blow-out prevention systems.
